After graduating from high school, Dahe Yuanbang chose to study materials design at Tokyo University of Design. Shortly after graduation, he entered the Dragon Son Animation Production Company responsible for background painting. Later, it was recommended by the Minister of Fine Arts, the famous animation art supervisor Nakamura, and Dahe Yuanbang was the first to participate in the design of the enemy mechanical design of the “Science Ninja Team”, which was highly praised. After participating in the “Cyclone (ポリマー)” and “Cosmic Knight (Cosmicの骑士テッカマン)” Dahe Yuanbang and Nakamura Guangyi established the studio “mecaman”. 大河原邦男:The so-called real-world robots just make people feel very real. In reality, the 18-meter-high robot will not walk on the street. Q : Daheyuan has been engaged in design work for more than 40 years. He has been active in the first line for a long-lasting vitality. What secret do you have for the teacher?
大河原邦男: Don’t design too much. Everything is designed too carefully, but it becomes a hindrance, and the design becomes boring. Try to see as many things as possible, and it is best not to become too professional in one aspect. For example, if you know too much about a car, you will think about doing industrial design and deviating from the original purpose. The mechanical design of industrial design, product design and animation is completely different. Industrial design is to remove all the extra parts, which is the best design. The mechanical design of the animation is to add a variety of things, leaving a deep image in the minds of the people watching. Q : In the works that you are responsible for mechanical settings, what is your personal favorite and most satisfying? Or, in so many robot designs, which robot driver is he most willing to do?

大河原邦男: Now the Japanese environment is hard to reproduce the work of the mechanical display. I think China will produce more works in the future. I don’t think it’s a design that brings too much excitement to children, both physically and spiritually
Q : Daheyuan Teacher, you are here for the first time in mainland China. What are your expectations for this exhibition in Guangzhou?
大河原邦男: I didn’t really believe it. The speed of China’s development surprised me. It really was the era of the moon. I think Japan lost. If it is China, maybe it will be done. There are too many frames in Japan, and even the animations that drag and drop can’t be done, and the tolerance is gradually gone. Now there is a lot of animation production and design commissions from China. I think there will be more robot animations in China in the future. I am looking forward to it. And my age is also big, I think the future is the era when young people, Japanese mechanical designers and Chinese mechanical designers compete with each other
Q : For Chinese fans, what do you want to say to the audience who visited this exhibition?
大河原邦男:I didn’t expect to be able to hold an exhibition in China. Although I entered this line, I was not interested in animation. But what I am proud of is that animation is a common job, and there has been no delay in the production process in 47 years.
