Donated to Jingani for the victims of the disaster – the record and feeling of the wildgun in Kyoto after the Kyoto animation fire

The tragedy that shocked the world’s animation enthusiasts on July 18, 2019, the arson case of Kyoto Animation Company has become the focus of attention in Japan and the world. Specific event follow-up development, as well as the motivation of the crime investigation, etc., please also follow up the news report. I use this article to describe the two days after the incident, that is, Saturday, July 20, my (wildgun) volunteer for Kyoto Animation Company, and the specific process of mourning for the victims. I hope to introduce some of the details I have seen and felt from my own perspective

Donations.

The first part is support, specifically donation

On the second day after the incident, on the evening of July 19, I saw that Animate and Kyoto International Manga Museum announced that they would raise funds for the rescue

Animate: “Kyotoアニメーション様で発生したEventにつきまして》.

Kyoto International Manga Museum: “Kyotoアニメーション”Fireについて》.

The next day (20th) Saturday, I went to Animate to donate money. There are two Animate in Kyoto, one is the Shimao Commercial Street between Sanjo and Shijo, and there are also ACGN-related shops such as melonbooks, Luo dials (らしんばん) and Tiger’s Cave. On the 6th floor of the AVANTI building opposite the Hachijo Exit of JR Kyoto Station, there are also shops on the same floor

I chose to donate to Animate in the AVANTI building, because I plan to buy a bouquet near Kyoto Station

There are two details to share in AVANTI

The first one is, as soon as I walked into the store, I went to see if there was a donation box on the counter. I saw a desktop type that was not too big. It was already filled with almost banknotes – of course, because the banknotes were curled. Loose, so definitely not a tight box. Compared with the various donation boxes that have been seen in various convenience stores in the past, it is a world of difference. Convenience stores often have coin change. After confirming that the branch has a donation box, I went to the store for a lap. After about 10 minutes, I prepared the cash to donate. I found that the donation box had been emptied, so the coin I invested became the first in the box. Once. I think it shouldn’t be the time when I went, but because there are more donors in the days of starting the fundraising, so I often empty it

The second detail is that I noticed that there is a gap in the donation box on the side of the donation box. It may be wrong. After all, the donation is only a few seconds, and it is not convenient to take the head closer and look carefully. Was there someone who had too much money before it was too full, so I didn’t mean to damage it when I pressed it?

In addition, this branch of Animate does not have a special commemorative or mourning special event collection area for this event, but the Luo Pin on the same floor has a special glass cabinet placed “Blow! “The goods.” However, it should be noted that the Luo Pin is sold in the Middle Ages, which is second-hand goods, so the purchase here will not bring direct economic benefits to Kyoto Animation Company; in addition, this half glass cabinet is not recently set up. It has been there for a few months

献花.

Next I came to Kyoto Station and asked the clerk to help me with a bunch of flowers at the flower shop on the 2nd floor of the Cube at the Kyoto Station (the mascot is a cute rabbit woman). Here is a brief overview of the general process of buying flowers in Japan: I explained the purpose of the bouquet, which is intended to be given to victims of the accident at the Kyoto Animation Company. The clerk asked me about the budget and the color I liked. I replied that about 1,500 yen, purple, so the clerk helped me with this bunch of flowers in the photo, after tax increase (consumption tax 8%) 1680 yen. In fact, my bouquet should be regarded as a mid-range in terms of overall volume. When I lined up for the flowers, I looked at the flowers of the first few flower sellers. It seems that they are all singles. Not everyone is a big bouquet, so I feel that if you consider giving flowers, you don’t have to worry about the size and the ability. In practical terms, it may be more effective to donate and shop

The incident is located near Liudizang Station. Please note that Kyoto Animation has several buildings in the Fushimi and Uji areas, including two buildings that I visited before 2016. But the first studio building in this accident should be the first time I came. I didn’t expect to mourn the tragedy in reality

There are three stations in the Liudi Tibetan area, namely the JR Tram Sixth Tibet Station, the Metro Liudi Tibetan (East-West Line) Station and the Keihan Tram Six-Tibet Station. I bought a bouquet at JR Kyoto Station, so I took the JR tram to the Sixth Tibet Station. I found that the nearest to the incident was the Keihan tram. Out of JR Liudi Tibetan Station, the irony is that one exit to see a kanban across the road: “Fireのintention”

About five minutes or so, you can walk to the scene. You have to walk through a bridge from JR Station. Although there is no tangible evidence, I feel that the scenery here is like the road that Kumiko has to go to school every day. Style. Currently, you can see the building in February 2018 through this link on Google Earth, but as Google Maps data continues to update, it may disappear in the digital world

From the JR station, I will pass through the side of the building, where it is still very quiet. Only a handful of fans are shooting from a distance. Walking to the front, you can see that quite a few reporters have taken the front of the building

In the row of bouquets on the floor, I saw the bouquet from Bilibili on the left side. When I went, the flower stand was already set up on the side of the Keihan Tram Sixth Station. I don’t know if Bilibili was giving flowers earlier, or is the front of the building dedicated to placing a bouquet of business associates?

On the side of the six stations of the Keihan Tram, the team of the Flower Terrace was very long. I queued for about 20 minutes before I walked to the Flower Terrace. Because the first few people who came to give flowers didn’t take pictures, they just gave a bouquet and bowed their heads, so I didn’t shoot the interior scene of the flower stand. In addition, in addition to the bouquet, I also saw a lot of bottles of mineral water or bottled drinks. As far as I have visited the Japanese monasteries and shrines hundreds of times before, I have seen similar offerings, so I think this is also a kind of offering that is enough to express your mind and is simple and easy to do

Then I went back to the building where the incident happened. I saw many media such as NHK and Kyoto News here. There are also some Asians who speak English (should be Japanese), as well as Japanese and Americans who speak Japanese. Journalists sometimes face the inside of the building, and sometimes interview the characters (probably business related). In short, everyone is very quiet. There is no such thing as “cry, scream, and hang”. I remember when the Kumamoto earthquake in 2016, I was amazed at the scenes of the victims who were seen sitting in the shelters in the online video report. I thought that perhaps the media had been screened and reported, deliberately not broadcasting the disasters that were crying. By. However, as far as my experience at the accident scene of the Kyoto Animation Company was concerned, I found that the Japanese were really restrained in the face of disasters. Even if they were crying, they were silent

At the scene, there are police officers who maintain order, mainly to remind everyone not to step into the private land in front of the private houses around the road, and when the vehicles pass, remind everyone that they can move forward in front of the building. On the contrary, however, everyone seems to have tacitly kept a distance from the building (probably to prevent others from taking pictures of the front of the building)

In addition, I also heard two girls who spoke Chinese (Southern accent) at the scene. One of them took a short shot with a selfie stick. The two talked softly and kept the good manners of the mourner

Observing the remains of the entire building, you can see that the middle door and window on the 1st floor are the most deformed

This photo is a spiral staircase inside the building (on the left side) that I photographed from the outside from a telephoto lens. From the photo, I can see that the metal staircase skeleton is exposed and deformed. It may be caused by fire or explosion shock

Finally, I noticed the nameplate above the doorway, and the name “KYOTOANIMATION” is faintly visible. Jimmy, the chief of the evil society, guessed that it was caused by charring. I personally guessed that it was a trace of the fire spray

In short, the July 18th, 2019, this is a major vicious incident that can be written into Japan’s modern history. The impact on the Kyoto animation company is reflected in this nameplate. The Kyoto Animation Company, which was established on July 12, 1985, will gradually dim in the smoke, until the excitement of the past is no longer recognizable, or it has been honed and baptized, and it is shining again. Some of the only remaining beauty in the beautiful world is reflected in the world of rectangles? Now let us pray and use the actual support actions we can to capture the future
